Creamy White Chili

I found this recipe on the back of a can of Great Northern Beans and it has been a favorite since. 

Creamy White Chili


1 pound chicken
1 medium onion
1/2 tsp garlic powder or garlic supreme
1 tbs oil
2 or 3  (15 oz) cans Great Northern Beans (depending on if you want it more soupy or more beans)
1  (14.5 oz) Can Chicken Broth
2 cans diced green chili's
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp Oregano
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 C. Sour Cream
1/2 C. Whipping Cream


In a skillet saute chicken, onion and garlic. In a large stock pot combine all the remaining ingredients. When chicken is fully cooked add to the stock pot.  Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until warmed through.
