Ali's Nutty Nutritious Granola

This recipe comes from
Ali’s Nutty Nutritious Granola

• 6 cups Old Fashioned Oats (#1068)
• 3⁄4 cup coarsely chopped Walnuts or Pecans
• 3⁄4 cup Whole Almonds (#1885)
• 1⁄4 cup light brown sugar, packed
• 1 cup AP Sesame Seeds (#1034) (optional)
• 1 cup Raw Sunfl ower Seeds (#2688)
• 2 tsp. AP Sweet Vanilla Powder (#1534)
• 1⁄2 cup Vegetable Oil
• 1⁄2 cup Honey (#1307)
• 1 tsp. AP Ground Cinnamon (#1005)

Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine oats, walnuts, almonds, brown sugar, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds and Vanilla. In a small bowl, whisk together the oil, honey and cinnamon. Drizzle the honey mixture over the cereal and combine well.

Transfer the granola to two Wearever® Cookie Sheets (#1152) coated with Vegalene®. Bake for 10 minutes, stir and bake an additional 10 minutes. Remove from oven and stir again. Cool completely, break up if necessary and store in airtight Gallon Container (#1229).

Note: Nuts and seeds turn rancid if stored at room temperature any length of time, so please freeze any extra granola if not eaten within 2 weeks. Enjoy!
