Strawberry Delight
Crust:
1 cup of butter, softened
1 cup of flour
1 cup of walnuts (#3973)
With a pastry blender or fork blend ingredients together. Mixture should be crumbly. Spread evenly in a 9x13 pan or 2 pie tins. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until crust is a golden brown. Let cool.
Filling:
1 8oz tub of cool whip
1 cup powdered sugar
8 oz cream cheese, softened
Blend together in mixer, scraping down the sides until well incorporated. Spread evenly on cooled crust.
Topping
2 1 lb containers of fresh strawberries, sliced (You can use more or less, depending on how many strawberries you want)
1 13.5 oz. container of strawberry glaze or Alison's Pantry Strawberry Fruit Filling #1645.
Place sliced strawberries in a large bowl and add the glaze. Stir until the strawberries are coated. Spread evenly on top of cream cheese filling. Chill for 1 hour, if you can resist that long.
