Peanut Butter Squares

I think I have had a Reese's Peanut Butter addiction since I was a little girl.  My dad would bring one home from work and stick it in the freezer, he liked them nice and cold.  If I rubbed his feet he would give me a treat and a lot of times that was part of his Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.  He still tries to get me to fall for that bribery but I've wised up a little since then.  This recipe is almost as good as a Reese's.

Ingredients

1 package graham crackers, crushed finely
2 cubes butter (1 cup)
2 cups peanut butter
4 cups powdered sugar
2 cups of chocolate chips

Instructions

I put the graham crackers in a bowl and smash them with the bottom of a cup. You can also put them in a ziplock bag and smash with a rolling pin. Melt the butter and put the melted butter, peanut butter, crushed graham crackers and powdered sugar into a mixing bowl and mix well. You may have to mix it together with your hands.
Spread out into a large cookie sheet. Smash out evenly with your fingers. Melt 2 cups of milk chocolate chips in the microwave for about a minute until creamy. Pour onto the peanut butter mixture and spread evenly. Chill in refrigerator for about 30 minutes. Cut and serve.

  1. Sounds like a great after-school treat, I bet the kiddos would even enjoy helping out making this :).

  2. Your recipe calls for 2 "cubes" of butter. What are cubes? Sorry!
